How to Set up a Trampoline?

Setting up a trampoline is not very difficult, but it takes at least two people. Spacing the springs properly is a crucial part of set up and can cause your trampoline to turn into a dangerous piece of equipment if not done properly. Here are a few tips on how to set up a trampoline safely and properly.

Pick a permanent spot for the trampoline. This should be a place that is easily accessible and easy to monitor if there will be children using it. Choose the right size trampoline for the space. How Long Does it Take to Assemble a Trampoline

Then, count out 22 eyelets and and attach the 22nd spring to that eyelet, go all the way around, hooking each 22nd spring to each corresponding eyelet. You’ll have 4 springs attached on your first round. Then, those 4 springs need to be tighten with the torque bar provided. Attaching the springs to their corresponding eyelets is repeated until all the springs are attached and tightened with the right tension. The count for only attaching 4 springs at a time when going around starts with 22, then 11, then 5, then 3 and finally what’s left.

Once the mesh is completely attached to the frame, place the spring cover over the springs. Do not pass on putting this cover over the springs. This cover is the best protection for the jumper and serves as protection of the springs from rusting, or becoming corroded with weather damage. How to Fold Mini Trampoline

To begin, simply flip it over so that the small legs are on top and the trampoline is facing up.

Then you will want to put your feet in a bracing position on the edge of the trampoline’s frame. In this position you can pull up the leg of the trampoline just enough to disconnect it.

After the first leg is disconnected, but still secured by a spring, you will want to lay it flat and repeat that step with each of the remaining legs. After this is finished you can raise the nylon frame cover to locate two hinges on the frame. At this point you should place your knees, or your feet if that is easier for you, on one half of the frame and be careful not to put them on the actual hinges. With your hands secure a solid grip on the other half of the frame and begin to pull it toward you. You should continue the fold until it is half way closed and remove your feet or legs before folding it all the way.

How to Reduce Static Shock on Trampoline

Many people have experienced static shock when jumping on a trampoline. You’re with a friend and you both touch and feel a shock or see a spark. The shock after jumping on a trampoline is when an electrical charge is built up in the person, changing them from being neutral to being negatively or positively charged. Once charged, then touching something that is conducive to electricity, a static shock occurs. The cause is usually dry air and the materials that rub against each other.
